General Carpenter / Laborer
Seasonal (typically off for the months of Jan & Feb this may vary based on weather and order volume)
Pay based on experience.
Expectations:
*Performs a variety of tasks involving building all types of portable structures and sheds in our shop as well as at construction sites, utilizing hand and power tools and other equipment in constructing storage sheds. Every building is different so we need people who learn quickly enjoy fast-paced work!
* Someone who takes pride in what they do and wants to do the best job possible in seeing a project to completion
**This position requires a valid driver’s license and your own transportation to & from work.
Responsibilities / Qualifications:
* Experience in construction using machines & tools of the trade is required – if you don’t have construction experience, please don’t waste your time applying
* Must have your own tool belt, hammer, and tape measure and maintain tools and equipment in ready-for-service condition.
* Loads, unloads, and identifies building materials, machinery, and tools, and distributes them to the appropriate locations
* Ability to work as a team, to jointly carry out assigned tasks.
* Ability to read and understand instructions and work specifications.
Physical Requirements:
* Works outdoors at construction sites in variety of weather conditions based on season.
* Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as standing, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, and handling of materials, equipment, and tools.
* Lifts, pushes, pulls, and carries heavy objects, machinery, and tools up to 50 pounds
* Can handle exposed to load noise – mostly power tools and hammering
